About Isle of Man

In the middle of the British Isles lies the unique Isle of Man - an island smaller than Bornholm. The island belongs to the English royal house, but has its own language, banknotes, government and national anthem.
The main town is called Douglas, has 30,000 inhabitants and is located on the east coast of the island, with ferry connections to England and Ireland.
It is said that from the highest point of the Isle of Man, Snaefell at 621 meters, you can clearly see the whole island and seven kingdoms: the Isle of Man, Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales - as well as the sky and the sea.

Transportation & Driving on the Isle of Man

Try the old steam locomotive that runs between Douglas and the southern tip of the island as well as the main attractions of the island. The end station is Port Erin.
Of course, it is also possible to rent a car or a bicycle.

On the Isle of Man you can visit both local cuisine and exclusive kitchens. The supply is large - find inspiration on fx.Trip Advisor.

The sea around the Isle of Man is a great place to spot seals, dolphins and whales. Here you will also find the world's second largest fish bait, which is a harmless shark species.
The island is especially known for the life-threatening Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. The race does not take place while we are staying here, but several places on the island tell the story of the traditional race.
